Nestled in the charming heart of Collingswood, New Jersey, Il Fiore stands as a beacon of authentic Italian cuisine, inviting diners to embark on a sensory journey through Italy’s most beloved flavors. This elegant Italian restaurant, located at 693-695 Haddon Ave, masterfully blends a warm, rustic atmosphere with a refined dining experience, perfect for everything from intimate dinners to joyful celebrations.
The menu at Il Fiore is a vivid celebration of Italy’s rich culinary heritage. Start your meal with an exquisite Antipasto Freddo, a vibrant assortment of cured meats and carefully selected cheeses that awaken the palate. Fans of seafood will fall in love with the Zuppa Di Cozze—farm-raised mussels served either in a delicate white wine and lemon sauce or a robust plum tomato base. Another standout appetizer is the Grilled Calamari, tender and marinated with zesty lemon, fragrant garlic, and fresh herbs, grilled to smoky perfection.
For main courses, Il Fiore offers impeccable veal dishes such as the Vitello Con Funghi E Carciofi, where tender veal scaloppini are sautéed with artichokes, mushrooms, and fresh tomatoes in a velvety Pinot Grigio white wine sauce, delivering layers of earthy and bright flavors. The Vitello Il Fiore enchants with medallions in a garlic white wine sauce, generously accented with sweet crabmeat and sundried tomatoes—a dish that truly exemplifies culinary finesse.
Seafood lovers can indulge in the Salmone Al Forno, an oven-roasted salmon infused with sun-dried tomatoes and capers bathed in a fragrant white wine and lemon sauce, offering a harmonious balance of richness and acidity. For those craving robust meat options, the 24oz Rib Eye served with broccoli, carrots, green beans, and mushrooms in sauce on the side stands out as a hearty, flavor-packed feast.
No Italian dining experience is complete without decadent desserts, and Il Fiore does not disappoint. The creamy, delicate Tiramisu and the luscious Italian Rum Cake create memorable sweet finales that perfectly complement the savory courses. Also noteworthy are the Cannoli and the whimsically named Dark Side of the Moon Cake, offering a delightful range of textures and tastes that linger on the palate.
The dining atmosphere at Il Fiore wraps guests in an authentic Italian embrace—full of warmth, lively energy, and rustic charm. While the buzz of a busy dining room is a testament to its popularity, some visitors have noted the noise level can grow quite spirited, adding to an unmistakable, bustling trattoria vibe. The service staff generally leaves a positive impression as attentive and respectful, though a few moments of waiting, especially during peak hours, remind diners of the restaurant's high demand and authentic neighborhood appeal.
Il Fiore also offers a BYOB policy, a thoughtful nod to those who wish to pair their meal with a personal favorite bottle, with staff going the extra mile to chill wines in ice, enhancing the overall dining experience.
This restaurant radiates a deep respect for Italian culinary tradition while serving dishes brimming with freshness, richness, and heartfelt craftsmanship. Whether marking a special occasion or simply savoring a night out, Il Fiore invites guests to indulge in exceptional Italian flavors and warm, genuine hospitality.
Nice restaurant with a very authentic Italian feel. The food was good and the service as well, though we did wait extremely long to pay. The place was pretty full, which is the sign of a good restaurant, but the noise level was too loud. Coupled with a small table, it made for a less than perfect night, but we'll definitely give it another try.
Outstanding Experience – A True Gem! I don’t usually leave reviews, but this restaurant truly deserves recognition. From the moment we walked in, the service, food, and atmosphere were exceptional. The flavors were authentically Italian—rich, fresh, and incredibly satisfying. As someone from New Jersey, close to New York City, I have high expectations when it comes to dining out, especially in terms of service and quality—and this place exceeded both. I brought my mother for a spontaneous outing, and choosing this restaurant turned out to be a perfect decision. She was delighted, and so was I. If I could give this place a 10-star rating, I absolutely would. Highly recommended
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! I made a reservation for 10 people which was so easy and hassle free. The wait staff was very helpful, respectful and impressive. The food was out of this world and we had an amazing time celebrating my engagement with family. The restaurant is BYOB and they put our bottles in ice (I've been to restaurants that did not do that) so it was a nice surprise for me. The atmosphere was pleasant, all around a great spot. We will definitely be coming back!
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was grand! Very clean bathrooms too which is very important to me. The manager was so kind and generous and our waiter was great too. They made our Mothers Day quite special and a splendid experience!!
My boyfriend had booked a birthday dinner for 4 and we were seated very quickly. The place was packed which was a good sign that the food was good. As per Il Fiore’s reputation, I expected nothing less than phenomenal food and was not disappointed at all! A few different waiters had helped us through the night, and some of them seemed like they couldn’t care less about being there. Water cup was always filled through out the night, it’s just the service didn’t feel that warm unfortunately. My boyfriend said he had left a note saying it was a birthday dinner and no one seemed to have mentioned anything through out the night even though a few other tables had birthday celebrations. Oh well, I suppose. Ordered four cannolis boxed along with the check, received the cannolis and no check. Waited around for another 15 or so minutes before having to ask for the check again. Overall the food was fantastic, the service was just quite disappointing. Would probably visit again sometime, maybe not for a celebration as it tanked the mood.
Let me say that ambiance rivals a mini Le Bec Fin here in beautiful Collingswood NJ, home of Michael Landon. We had a very enjoyable lunch on a gorgeous sunny day and let me tell you it was good. Service was spectacular as our waitstaff served 5 tables efficiently and attentively. We shared the grilled calamari with scrumptious bread dipped in olive oil mix. Grilled to perfection and was plenty for two people. The main course was pumpkin ravioli (hey it’s the fall) and we were both surprised to have three grilled shrimp on top! The shrimp was perfect; not mealy as we’ve experienced in other establishments. Our favorite bottle of Pellegrino was more than adequate during our stay. No room for dessert this time but we certainly will be back again!
This was an interesting dining experience. Luckily we got right in with our reservation. Let me say the food was FANTASTIC!! The Gnocchi Di Ricotta was best gnocchi I ever had. My fiance loved her Spaghetti Tartuffo, and our appetizer, soup, and salad were great. Our only complaints, is this place is total chaos and extremely loud. I’ve never seen so many waiters and waitresses running around in one small room to the point of almost running into people and us, as there is very little room between tables. We were seated by the opening to the hallway of the kitchen, and I must have gotten hit by a server in my shoulder or arms like 5 times. Was quite annoying. I would definitely recommend for food, but if ambiance is your thing, and want a cozy peaceful date night or something, I’d look elsewhere.
Just had a shower here. They were absolutely amazing and super accommodating! The food was out of this world. The service was so good!! I highly recommend them for any special event or even a nice dinner out.
